A little bit about James
James Rainwater has extensive experience in tax services and financial consulting, including trust and business planning, business evaluation, and management services. His experience includes a broad range of industries emphasizing real estate, manufacturing, wholesale distributors, technology firms, professional service firms, retailers, farming, and startups.
James graduated in May 1995 from University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting and business. In May 2001, Mr. Rainwater graduated from the University of Baltimore with honors with a Masters of Business Administration. After several years at a large accounting firm and roles for private companies as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance and IT, he went into practice for himself.
James holds a Certified Public Accounting certificate from the State of Maryland. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
He is very active in the community having served on numerous boards as director, serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster and is a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician.
