My Purpose: specializing in accounting for wineries, breweries, and distilleries
After five years as a staff accountant at a local accounting firm, I decided to open my own accounting firm. I chose to niche right away by specializing in accounting for wineries, breweries, and distilleries. It makes sense the that industries I support (wine clubs, brewery tours, festivals) are the industries I desire to serve.
Wine and craft beer is a large niche market, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. Now add craft distilleries and the people making kick ass hard cider and there are a lot of companies who could use a little help in their accounting departments. Accounting doesn’t have to be difficult or stressful. Businesses have enough to concentrate on without being concerned that debits and credits don’t match. That’s where I come in…
Like most Thriveal members, I’m not your old-school accountant.
- My firm is web-based and paperless. I don’t even own a printer.
- I price projects individually based on the needs of the customer. I don’t charge by the hour. Ever.
- I intentionally keep a small customer base so I can give each business the attention is deserves.
